New Yorker staff writer Susan Orlean is one of America's leading literary journalists. Before joining the New Yorker as a staff writer in 1992 she was a contributing editor at Rolling Stone and Vogue. She was also a columnist at the Boston Phoenix and the Boston Globe Sunday Magazine.
